Hi all. A few announcements ;)
Aloha! How was your weekend?
All is well here. Thank You!!
Tonight: Measuring Results of Your Strategy
Excellent! :) RT : All is well here. Thank You!!
Q1 How do you define your goals and objectives? How do you measure “meeting your goal?”
RT : Q1 How do you define your goals and objectives? How do you measure “meeting your goal?”
For some reason, I couldn't access the chat questions. :
A1: I'm a list maker so I will write my main goal down and a list of "tasks" to achieve it.
A1) Derived from my business plan & at a low level of detail
Nvm, all good. :] Also, thanks Gail!
A1: Once all the tasks are checked off I reevaluate to see if I have met the goal.
A1: I like getting a feel for what I'm trying to achieve with the goals. That way I can measure via internal/external response
Thank you! It has been working so far.
A1 I go through a process every morning, and it is built off of my overall goals for the year.
Q2 How do you determine what portion of your results are due to your social media efforts, strategies, tools?
A2 I review social analytics, specifically, to determine their impact.
Hey Lisa! How are you? Good to see you :)
Q3 How do you collect your data/information for your own analysis? And, do you report that to anyone else?
A2) Metrics are at a low level of detail & mapped tp channel
A2: Recently started tracking this. I am keeping track of what I am doing and deciding which spreadsheet to use
Q3 How do you collect your data/information for your own analysis? And, do you report that to anyone else?
A3 I collect it from different sources, like sumall and socialreport and the social sites themselves
A3: Well I'm a social media intern so I use SproutSocial to analyze my data and growth. Usually report it to my supervisor.
A3) Manually from channels into a spreadsheet Looking to automate this process
I love sprout social - great analytics! RT : A3: Well I'm a social media intern so I use SproutSocial ..
Thanks! It certainly makes life easier. ^O^
Ooooh.. Con.. Let's chat about that during the hangout section! (Everyone - watch/listen .. link in next tweet
Excellent Q. I'm trying to define my goals now. In transition.
Have you ever used or only SproutSocial ?
Q4 How frequently do you review your metrics and make changes related to your findings?
A4: I record all the social media stats daily and measure the growth weekly. That way I can see what posts worked and didn't.
A4 I try to do a quick glance daily and more in-depth, weekly/monthly.
For many bloggers, a common goal is to get subscribers or sell products or services
a4: never regularly? I just happen to check... Too busy. LOL
FYI: Next week is our last in this series, then a summary the following week ;) Then.. on to the *EXCITING* Tools series!
I have been working on doing this.
Love it! Some time, you need to share how you do all that so effectively and efficiently!
I hear ya! RT : Excellent Q. I'm trying to define my goals now. In transition.
Q5 What have you learned this week or what do you want to investigate further?
I'm here late as usual. I really need this training.
I review about 3 times a week and make changes when I can.
It definitely helps me see how far along I am to achieving my goals with engagement.
Good! ": A1 I go through a process every morning, and it is built off of my overall goals for the year. "
Now, time for the ! Instructions, next..
A2. I don't and sometimes feel like I'm wasting my time. I may need to re-brand.
1) Find something you want to brag about 2) tweet it 3) including and especially hashtag
A5: I learned that it's a process full of campaigns, posts, and actively engaging your audience.
I have learned that consistency pays off. I am taking my blogs more seriously and it has been working.
RT I need to do that! : A4 I try to do a quick glance daily and more in-depth, weekly/monthly.

It's a tedious process but so worth it in the end when you know who and how many people you've reached.
Absolutely. I wish I knew everything I know NOW back in the 90's when I first started blogging lol
Oh!! The date needs updating it says November :)
I'm thinking of re-branding and figuring out how blogging and social media will mix.
Is there a chat that goes with the live stream?
